In My Mailbox #36

In My Mailbox was created by Kristi at The Story Siren, inspired by Alea at Pop Culture Junkie.

Library:
A Little Wanting Song by Cath Crowley
Darkfever (Fever, #1) by Karen Marie Moning
My Most Excellent Year by Steve Kluger

For Review / Won
Blood Destiny (The Blood Curse Series, #1) by Tessa Dawn from GoodReads.
Recovery Road [ARC] by Blake Nelson from GoodReads.

I've already finished reading all these books, except A Little Wanting Song. That book is for the Aussie YA Challenge. Finally getting around to reading an Aussie book! My Most Excellent Year was for another challenge; it was a cute read.

Through GoodReads, I received two books: Recovery Road and Blood Destiny. Recovery Road was a quick read. I didn't hate it or love it. But I did feel a bit disappointed because it wasn't anything like what I expected it to be. Blood Destiny is an adult vampire book, and it was an okay read as well. (One thing that really bugged me was that all the guys had long hair. Long hair on guys creeps me out! haha) I do think the series has potential. However, I wouldn't recommend reading it if you're not into very graphic and gory violence. If you can handle that, though, and you're looking for a new adult vampire series from an indie author, then you should check it out.

Lastly...Darkfever. Over the past couple of weeks, I've seen this series everywhere! And it didn't help that my GoodReads buddies were reading the books as well. Since I really wanted to know what was up, I picked it up from the library. So far so good. I heard the last three or two books were the best, so we'll see! I'm curious to find out how it all ends.

That's it for this week. :)
