Breaking Dawn Part 2 Movie Chat & Giveaway

Can you believe it’s close to four years since the first Twilight movie hit the big screen? Well this November 16, 2012 marks the release of the final installment! So, WinterHaven Books asked me to join them to talk about the book series and movies that created an epic phenomenon. Take a look at what we have to share and be sure not to miss out on the opportunity to get your ticket to this final movie release! Enjoy!

Which was your favorite book in the Twilight series?
Alexa: Twilight was my fave. It was addicting, and it didn't have a love-triangle. ;)
Amber: My favorite book in the Twilight series I would have to say is a big toss-up. It's either Twilight or Breaking Dawn. I love those two the most.
Arlene: I think the first book in this series will always be my favorite. I read it before anyone even knew that vampires could sparkle. LOL Well before the frenzy, that’s for sure. It was nice to enjoy something so passionately and at the time, it was truly unique and addicting in its own right.
Crystal: My favorite was definitely Twilight.  It had everything romance, suspense, hawt kisses, and action.  I totally ate it up!

Which was your least favorite?
Amber: New Moon was my least favorite.
Arlene: I actually did the midnight release for Breaking Dawn and the Book Concert with Meyer and Blue October. I was the first person in line at my store to get a copy. I was soooo excited that when my sisters saw me pay for my book and immediately turn to the last page, they seriously tackled the book out of my hands and insisted I start from the beginning. I wanted an HEA so so badly for Edward and Bella, but when it was all said and done, I guessed I envisioned another story in my head and I was disappointed. I’ve recovered from that though. Long ago, promise! LOL But I have to admit that Breaking Dawn was my least favorite of all four books.
Crystal: My least favorite is Breaking Dawn.  I thought the beginning was great but the ending and the whole baby situation just ruined it for me.  That ending *sigh* was so underwhelming.  I was upset for days about it!  Funny enough though if the ending had been different I am not sure I would have met my roomie Arlene.  You see after I finished Breaking Dawn I went in search of others who felt my pain and I ran into her online =)
Alexa: Definitely Breaking Dawn! I couldn't even finish it! I think I stopped when Jacob imprinted on Renesmee. I had no problem with the imprinting, but I felt like everything that had happened up to that point was ridiculous and Bella and Jacob were annoying the heck out of me. I couldn't stand reading another page.

Which has been your favorite movie in the Twilight series?
Arlene: Oddly enough, where Breaking Dawn is my least favorite of the books in this series, so far Part 1 of the movie is my favorite. I really liked how everything translated to screen. I was pleasantly surprised and pleased.
Crystal: I loved Eclipse. I know a lot of people are going to disagree with me but I am sticking with it.  I thought the acting was better and they stayed truer to the story.  I also *whispers* haven't seen Breaking Dawn part 1 yet so my decision is based on only seeing the first 3.
Alexa: Arlene, it's the same for me! I really enjoyed Breaking Dawn Part 1! Okay, I know this may sound weird, but my favorite scene was when Bella was giving birth. Even though I kind of had an idea of what went down (remember, I never finished the book), I wasn't prepared for the part when Bella's bones snapped! My jaw dropped, and I was like, 'What the.. Sh*t just got real!' I felt like I was watching an alien horror film. It was gross and horrifying and strangely hilarious... I couldn't look away! lol
Amber: Breaking Dawn part 1!!!

Which is your least favorite movie?
Crystal: Twilight is my least favorite.  I was completely disappointed after I saw it.  The acting, storyline, and content just didn't work for me.  Every scene that I hoped to see was either missing or altered way too much.  Yes I am still bitter but I am working on it =P
Alexa: I think Eclipse. I was eager to watch it, but then it ended up just boring me for some reason... I can barely remember what happened.
Amber: I would say New Moon.
Arlene: So again, where Twilight is my favorite book in the series, the movie was my least favorite. However, it has one of my favorite scenes of all of the movies. I have to give it that. The baseball scene was fun to watch. Oh and even though this is my least favorite of the movies, it has the best music.

What do you hope to see in this final movie installment?
Alexa: More creepy, horror parts! lol I'm looking forward to seeing the Jacob and Renesmee scenes, so I hope there's a lot of that.
Amber: I'm so so curious how they are going to portray Bella's gift on the big screen, but more importantly, I can't wait for some hard core kick butt fighting!
Arlene: I want a battle… plain and simple. Not a mental showdown. I want an all out, pack the punches, bring down some vamps, fight some wolves epic war. I really hope they make this a phenomenal ending.
Crystal: The one thing I want above anything else is a better ending.  The ultimate show down better be AMAZING!!

What are your movie plans for watching this last installment?
Amber: Well, not gonna lie. I soooo am not going to the midnight show. I have for the last three movies. But, like Arlene said, I will wait a few days to go this time. .
Arlene: I definitely won’t be doing the midnight release, that’s for sure. LOL I think I might wait a week or so for the frenzy to die down and watch it with some friends. I definitely won’t be seeing it opening weekend, but I’m eager to see how this all plays out.
Crystal: Well seeing as how I still haven't seen the first part I will probably wait until it comes out on DVD and watch them back to back.
Alexa: If someone wants me to watch it in theaters with them, I'll go. Otherwise I'm going to wait for the DVD release like I've done for the last three movies.

  1. I would have to say that my absolute favorite book from the Twilight series, would have to be New Moon without a single doubt in my mind. It was beautiful. It was incredibly emotional. It was dripping in sadness and sorrow and lost and pain and betrayal and hurt and anger and so many other colorful adjectives that would take forever to through.
